Further Information

Additional Names:
GTF2E1, FE, TF2E1, TFIIE-A
Application Note:
GTF2E1 antibody can be used for detection of GTF2E1 by ELISA at 1:312500. GTF2E1 antibody can be used for detection of GTF2E1 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
GTF2E1 belongs to the TFIIE alpha subunit family. It recruits TFIIH to the initiation complex and stimulates the RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain kinase and DNA-dependent ATPase activities of TFIIH. Both TFIIH and TFIIE are required for promoter clearance by RNA polymerase.
