Further Information

Additional Names:
LASS5, CerS5, FLJ25304, MGC45411, Trh4, LASS5
Application Note:
LASS5 antibody can be used for detection of LASS5 by ELISA at 1:12500. LASS5 antibody can be used for detection of LASS5 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
LASS5 may be either a bona fide (dihydro)ceramide synthase or a modulator of its activity. When it is overexpressed in cells it is involved in the production of sphingolipids containing mainly only one fatty acid donor (N-linked palmitoyl- (C16) ceramide) in a fumonisin B1-independent manner.
