Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 89269-64-7. Formula: C15H18N4. MW: 254.3. Synthetic. Systemic fungicide developed for the control of rice diseases that exhibits strong antifungal activity against many plant-pathogenic fungi. Antifungal activity does not affect the synthesis of RNA, DNA, protein, cell walls, or lipid components. Inhibits mycelial growth, but does not inhibit spore germination until a germ tube had formed. No effect of ferimzone was observed on the cell wall architecture of mycelia. Ferimzone causes leakage of some electrolytes from mycelia, which suggests that it affects or disrupts membrane function. Compound can be used as analytical reference material.
