Background:
The HIP8 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD41 (GPIIb), a subunit of the calcium-dependent complex with CD61 (IIIa). The complex is expressed on megakaryocytes and platelets. The HIP8 antibody blocks the aggregation of platelets and inhibits platelet activation.
