Background:
The phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)-binding proteins,
including PEBP4, are an evolutionarily conserved family of proteins
with pivotal biologic functions, such as lipid binding and
inhibition of serine proteases (Wang et al., 2004 [PubMed
15302887]).
