Background:
Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase (PARG) is the major
enzyme responsible for the catabolism of poly(ADP-ribose), a
reversible covalent-modifier of chromosomal proteins. The protein
is found in many tissues and may be subject to proteolysis
generating smaller, active products.
